Who Can Join?
All Presec Legon students are welcome to join. No prior chess experience required.
How to Join
Attend club meetings during lunch hours or contact any executive member.
Membership Expectations
Regular attendance at training sessions, active participation, and respect for fellow members.
Code of Conduct
Sportsmanship
Treat opponents with respect. Victory and defeat are both parts of learning.
Honesty
No cheating, collusion, or dishonest play. Integrity is the foundation of chess.
Discipline
Arrive on time, follow club directives, and contribute to a positive environment.
Inclusion
Welcome and support members of all skill levels. Everyone belongs in the club.
Competition & Tournament Rules
Standard Gameplay
- Follow FIDE (World Chess Federation) rules
- Touch-move rule applies unless waived by tournament organizers
- J'adoube (adjust piece) must be announced clearly
- Proper clock etiquette required
- No external assistance during games
Tournament Participation
- Register in advance for club tournaments
- Arrive 15 minutes before start time
- No phones/electronic devices at the board
- Resign or declare draw respectfully
- Disputes handled by tournament director
Certificates are awarded for tournament victories, ranking achievements, and exceptional contributions to the club. All certificates are digitally verified and can be validated through our verification portal.
Training & Development
We provide structured training to help members improve:
- Beginner Training: Basic openings, tactics, and endgames
- Intermediate: Strategic concepts, position evaluation, and game planning
- Advanced: Deep theoretical preparation and tournament-level coaching
- Analysis Sessions: Member games reviewed and discussed

A: No! We teach chess from scratch to all interested members, regardless of their skill level.

A: No! We welcome players of all levels. Many members started as beginners and improved significantly through training.
Q: How do I get a certificate?
A: Certificates are issued at the end of your academic journey, the admin will create and verify your certificate through our system.
Q: How do I verify a certificate?
A: Use our certificate verification page. Enter the certificate ID to instantly verify its authenticity.
Q: Can I download or print my certificate?
A: Yes! After verification, you'll see options to download and print your certificate. You can also scan the QR code on printed certificates to verify them instantly.
Q: What happens if I violate club rules?
A: Serious violations are handled by the club executives. We believe in learning and improvement, but integrity is non-negotiable.
